Windows 2012 – Dead slow RDP logon screen

Recently, noticed that few of our servers in one of the remote data center was very slow to RDP. Server was accessible using ILO but when we click on CTL+ALT_DEL it was taking about 30 mins for accessing credentials. Tried rebooting server but no luck and still was taking about 40 mins to complete the reboot.

On analyzing the issue found that server was having issues connecting to the logon server. Verified the DNS and gateway. Once, this was rectified with the assistance of the network team, issue was resolved.
